Sierra 18-2603 shift cable for Mercruiser lower unit Alpha I generation II outdrives replaces Mercury original part 19543-T-1 on the transom/gimbal assembly. Includes outdrive gasket set, shift cable bellows, shift cable assembly, and the drive shaft housing bell gasket.

The shift cable runs from the alpha leg through the gimble housing and terminates on a shift interrupt switch bracket, usually mounted somewhere on the engine (rocker cover or exhaust riser). If you are experiencing gear shift problems with a Mercruiser Alpha one outdrive, the cable is the first item to check and replace.
